APCRDA lists Vignan University and medical college among violators

CRDA lists several buildings among 9 capital city zones.

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Capital Regional Development Authority has listed several unauthorised buildings including that of Vignan University and Katuru Medical College among nine capital city zones having highest number of illegal constructions.

The CRDA listed 153 unauthorised buildings in Thullur mandal villages of capital city, including Undavalli, Inavolu, Kuragallu, Neerukonda, Shakamuru, Velagapudi, Nekkallu, Bethapudi, Navuluru, Errabalem, Mandamda, Dondapadu, Raipudi and Anantavaram.

Violators include apartments and churches and ground plus two and ground plus three building owners. In Tenali South East Zone, around 13 buildings were identified including that of those in Vignan University.

The CRDA said Vignan University at Vadlamudi in Chebrolu mandal has unauthorised construction of RCC structure with ground floor and construction of five floors of hostel buildings.

Another building with unauthorised construction of five floors has also been named in Vignan University, run by Lavu Educational Society.

In Guntur South Zone, fourth floor of Katuri Medical College in Katurinagar of Chinakondrupadu has been named unauthorised by the CRDA. Around six buildings figured in the list.

Interestingly in Nuzvid of North Zone only one building and none in Nandigama has been listed.

In Vijayawada city surroundings, referred as central zone, there are only 99 unauthorised buildings, id-entified mostly in Gollapudi, Yanamalakuduru, Ta-digadapa, Poranki, Kanuru,  Enikepadu, Nunna and Ramavarappadu.

ALEAP (Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of AP) buildings in Surampalli Industrial area of Central Zone was also listed as unauthorised by the APCRDA.

Interestingly in Gannavaram called as North Zone and close to the airport, only three buildings are identified as illegal so far. In Vuyyuru East Zone only three buildings are named. The APCRDA is yet to begin demolition drive in these areas.
