Couple from Hyderabad commits suicide after disputes
After shifting to Hyderabad, the couple were residing in a rented house at Nacharam.
Hyderabad: A 25-year-old woman working as a contract employee at a city court and her husband were found hanging at their home in Shamshabad on Tuesday.
Police said Peresa, 24, and her husband Dileep Kumar, 29, committed suicide, after disputes arose between the couple. A suicide note, reportedly written by Peresa, was recovered by the police from the spot and it read: “Nobody is responsible for our death.”
Peresa's father Anjaiah, an employee at Hyderabad High Court claimed that Dileep’s addiction to alcohol lead to frequent quarrels between the couple, and this forced his daughter to take this extreme step.
Peresa was married to Chennai-based Dileep around 18 months ago and the couple was living Chennai. But soon after the marriage, Peresa came to know that Dileep is badly addicted to alcohol and was not stable in his job. When her parents came to know about the situation, they called them to Hyderabad.
After shifting to Hyderabad, the couple were residing in a rented house at Nacharam. While Peresa secured a job in a city court at Rajendranagar on contract basis, Dileep was jobless.
Being summer vacation, Peresa’s mother left for their native place Ongole and Anjaiah was alone. On Monday evening, Peresa came to her parents' home at Rudra Colony under RGI Airport Police station limits to cook for her father. Hours later, Dileep called her over mobile and the couple had a heated argument.
After having dinner, Anjaiah slept in their room on the ground floor, while Peresa waited for her husband. Anjaiah who woke up on Tuesday morning, found both of them hanging from a ceiling fan.
Anjaiah said Dileep had been harassing Peresa since the time of their marriage, but she never complained thinking that he will become normal someday. “But we never expected that the harassment was to this extent,” he said.
