Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday set out the schedule for the implementation of politically crucial schemes that the state Cabinet had approved on March 9 but which had seen no movement since then.

The decisions were taken ahead of the government's 21-day calendar to celebrate a decade of Telangana statehood from June 2.

At a review meeting at the Secretariat, the CM directed officials to distribute podu land pattas to tribals from June 24 to 30. The CM stated that he would personally take part in podu land patta distribution programmes.

July would see Gruha Laxmi scheme, to extend ₹3 lakh financial assistance to the poor to build houses on their own plots, being implemented as also the second phase of Dalit Bandhu of ₹10 lakh per family and distribution of house sites to the poor in villages.

The CM instructed officials to extend Rythu Bandhu to tribals who receive podu pattas. He asked officials to open bank accounts for them and credit the Rythu Bandhu amount in their accounts from the upcoming kharif season.

The CM said he would hold the district collectors conference on Thursday to finalise the arrangements for the 10th State Formation Day. Ministers and SPs have been invited to the meeting.

The CM directed officials to identify vacant lands in villages for distribution of house sites to poor on the occasion of decennial celebrations.

Rao directed officials to speed up framing of guidelines for implementation of Gruha Laxmi scheme.

The CM decided to lay the foundation for construction of a 2,000-bed Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims) Hospital besides expansion works of existing NIMS hospital building on June 14.
