Hyderabad: Student beats up school teacher who caned him

Hyderabad: A student of Holy Faith High School at Bibi ka Chashma attacked his teacher for alleged corporal punishment on Friday.

Falaknuma Inspector K. Srinivas said Mustafa bin Mehsan Basaif, the administration incharge of the school, said he had called the students of Class 10 for the Jumma prayer but no one turned up. He summoned the students and and started caning them when a student slapped and beat him and ran away.

Mr Mustafa said the student returned with his elder brother Ibrahim and his friends when he was returning to the school from the mosque and attacked him.

When one of his friends tried to stop them, he was also beaten up.
