Hassan: My government has fulfilled 155 promises, says Siddaramaiah

We have launched many schemes to bail out farmers, including waiving off Rs 8,165 crore loans taken from cooperative banks, CM said.

Hassan: The state government has fulfilled 155 of the 165 promises made to voters in the election manifesto four years ago, claimed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, here on Saturday. 

“We have launched many schemes to bail out farmers, including waiving off Rs 8,165 crore loans taken from cooperative banks,” he said. 

The “Anna Bhagya”, which provides rice at subsidised rates for BPL families, has brought down the incidence of migration of rural people to urban areas. 

“None should beg for a morsel. The aim was to make state hunger free,” he said. 

After laying the foundation for Kanaka Bhavan in Channarayapatna of Hassan district, he said that the government is committed to provide education for all. 

“We have launched many schemes, including Vidya Siri, and increased the number of residential schools and hostels,” he said.
