Inquiry report on SI's suicide submitted to Telangana DGP.
Hyderabad: A report on the suicide of Kukunoorpally sub inspector Prabhakar Reddy who shot himself a month ago, was submitted to the DGP. Additional DG Gopi Krishna who was ordered to inquire into the matter, submitted a four-page report to the DGP.
The report said that SI Prabhaker Reddy who committed suicide on June 14, shot himself at his quarters on the police station premises between 10.50 and 11 in the morning. He was afraid that his name would come out after the suicide of beautician Sirisha.
The report also stated that the SI was under pressure from ACP Giridhar, who was his immediate superior. As part of the inquiry, officials questioned 27 persons who had met Prabhakar before the suicide. It also mentioned details of the activities and the persons who met the SI a week before his suicide. They also analysed his call data records and found that he was in regular touch with SI K. Harinder of Banjara Hills who was his batch mate.
There were allegations after the suicide of Sirisha that Harinder had passed information to Prabhaker and updated him about the inquiry too. SI Harinder had only suggested that Sirisha, Rajiv and Sravan should approach Prabhaker to find a solution to their dispute.
SI Prabhaker Reddy, who hailed from Nalgonda district, committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon. Two days before that, Sirisha, Rajiv and Sravan met him at his quarters seeking his help in solving a issue, during which Prabhaker allegedly attempted to sexually assault Sirisha.
Though they returned to Hyderabad, Sirisha was upset with the incidents at Kuknoorpally and hanged herself at the DJ studio. Rajiv and Sravan were arrested for forcing her to commit suicide.
