Assam man held for fake FB a/cs of 17 IPS officers

Guwahati: Assam police on Sunday arrested a youth who is alleged to have been operating fake Facebook account of 17 police officers, including those of the director general of police Kuladhar Saikia and Guwahati police commissioner Hiren Nath. The crime branch of the city police arrested 30-year-old Suleiman Ibrahim Ali from the city on Saturday evening.

Police said that the accused has confessed to have been operating fake Facebook account of 17 IPS officers.

Informing that Ali had opened fake Facebook accounts of some police officers from outside the state also, police said.
