THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Akhil Chandran, an SFI member stabbed by his party leaders on the University College campus recently, has been discharged from Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.

It was on July 12, SFI college unit president Sivarenjith and secretary Nazeem stabbed Mr Chandran, a final year political science undergraduate student.
The two, both final year students, caused grievous injury to his chest, which led him to undergo surgery to control the bleeding.
The incident took place when he and a few other students were singing under the shade of a tree.
A group of SFI leaders allegedly asked them to get inside the classroom, triggering an altercation.
Other accused in the case are Amar, Advaith, Adhin, Aromal and Ibrahim.
