Telangana bus tragedy: Lack of sign boards led to accident

A bus had fallen on June 24, 2016 with a three year old dead in the mishap.

Khammam: Officials had failed to install sign boards at the danger spot at Nayakangudem NSP left canal-bridge, despite previous mishaps.

A bus had fallen on June 24, 2016 with a three year old dead in the mishap. But there was no official action.

The present accident could have been averted if the officials had installed sign boards. The bridge was built on the NSP left canal and Palair reservoir is adjacent to it. The water coming from Nagarjunasagar reservoir joins Palair reservoir and the bridge is narrow.
