Hyderabad: Around 1,000 CA staffers given pink slips
According to ForIT, around 900 to 1,000 employees were fired in Hyderabad city.
Hyderabad: Forum of IT professionals alleges mass retrenchment running into thousands in CA Technologies/Broadcom with more than 8,000 employees shown door across world. Broadcom has acquired CA Technologies and as part of restruction, people were shown doors. According to ForIT, around 900 to 1,000 employees were fired in Hyderabad city.
According to Praveen Chandrahas of ForIT, “As part of restructuring employees were informed in their all-hands meet. The company is in profits and cannot act according to their whims and fancies and butcher the future of the workforce as they are bound by Indian laws”.
ForIT in its statement asked the government to immediately intervene and protect the rights of the law-abiding, tax-paying citizens of our country who are being shunned out illegally
“CA Technologies announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Broadcom. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth calendar quarter of 2018. There is no planned restructuring or related retrenchment prior to the close of the transaction. The numbers provided by Forum of IT Professionals are speculation and we do not comment on rumors,” said a CA Technologies spokesperson.
