Hyderabad: The TPCC has demanded that the Election Commission give details of deletions and additions in the voters list from 2015 to 2018. It alleged that there were 31 lakh duplicate voters in the list.

The TPCC Election Committee held a meeting on Saturday at Gandhi Bhavan. Speaking to the media after the meeting, TPCC Election Committee Chairman M. Sashidhar Reddy said 18 lakh voters were enrolled in the voters list in AP and Telangana and after the state bifurcation, some voters of Seemandhra had transferred their votes from Telangana to AP as instructed by the Election Commission.

He asked why the number of voters in AP had not increased when AP people residing in Telangana had transferred their votes to AP . He said 30 lakh voters were removed in a one-year period in Telangana. He asked the EC  to give details of applications received by the commission for voter’s enrolment date-wise. He asked how it was possible to have 500 voters in one house and asked what the EC was doing in such cases.
