Hyderabad: Borabanda experiences 16 microquakes, panic prevails in the area

Hyderabad: As many as 16 microearthquakes were recorded in Borabanda between 6.30 pm on Saturday and 8 am on Sunday, according to the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI). Scientists said the magnitude of the earthquakes were extremely small.

More microearthquakes are expected as the area is still under stress. The NGRI installed two more seismographs in the area on Sunday,  in addition to the two on Saturday, to to study seismic activity.
