Telangana turns to consultants to make TMDP
For the preparation of master plans in 20 urban local bodies, the department is again turning to a consultant.
Hyderabad: The TS municipal administration and urban development department is increasingly turning to consultants to prepare reports.
The latest task to be handed over to consultants is a part of the work to prepare the Telangana Municipal Development Project (TMDP), which will be part of the report ‘Telangana 2014 — The first decade’.
The TMDP will contain the status of the department in 2014 and 2017 and how the government improved infrastructure facilities in the last three years and the status of work in urban local bodies.
For the preparation of master plans in 20 urban local bodies, the department is again turning to a consultant.
The job of preparing the detailed project report (DPR) for stormwater and underground drainage in 72 urban local bodies, development of integrated urban land registry, climate change studies, urban green environment project have all been handed over to consultants. An official said each consultant will be paid a minimum of Rs 1 crore.
