Hyderabad: A seven-member family, including three children, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a poultry farm in Bhongir Yadadri district on Friday.

The victims are suspected to have consumed pesticide. The poultry owner found them dead in a room and alerted the police.

The deceased were identified as Bachali Balanarsaiah, 70, his wife Bharathamma, 65,  daughter Dubashi Tirumala, 35, her husband Balaraju, 38 and their children Sravani 13, Rajesh alias Chintu, 11 and Rakesh alias Bunny, 8. A suspicious death case has been registered at the Rajapet police station.

E. Ramachandra Reddy, DCP, Yadadri Bhongir, said that it was suspected that Balaraju had taken this step due to financial problems and other family members joined him.

“We collected an empty alcohol bottle and cooked chicken from the room where they were found dead and three pesticide containers from the next room,” he said.

Balaraju and his wife were working for a poultry farm owned by Nagabhushanam.

“Balaraju suffered seizures three days ago and told his employer that he would be going for medical check-up on Thursday.” the DCP said.
