Telangana high court contempt notices to chief secretary SK Joshi

The court has given two weeks time for explanation.

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Tuesday issued contempt notices to the chief secretary of the state government for not following its direction over the registration of flats and villas in the Indu Aranya project at Bandlaguda, near Nagole.

Justice P. Naveen Rao was hearing a petition to initiate contempt proceedings against the state government over its failure to enforce the HC order to register flats in Indu Aranya in favour of the buyers of flats and villas who had made payments earlier.

The court has given two weeks time for explanation. The HC had earlier directed the authorities to register the plots to buyers they moved the court complaining that the government was not registering their flats despite completion of all formalities, including payment.
