Now, access progress cards on PC
SSA develops online monitoring system in Malappuram.
MALAPPURAM: Parents, teachers, researchers and even the public can soon access the progress reports of school students thanks to an online monitoring system developed by the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) district project office.
A first of its kind in Kerala, the innovative online progress report card named students quality monitoring tool (SQMT) has been made available to all schools in the district.
The schools can easily enter achievements or results of each terminal examination online, which anybody can access from anywhere and assess their performance individually or school-wise.
The complete data related to grades achieved by students of 1,357 government and aided schools up to high school level will be available in this online repository in the first phase. To access an individual progress report, one has to enter the name and date of birth of the student. The reports are available in graphical and tabular forms on easy clicks.
Comparison of term wise performance of each subject of a student is also possible. “Researchers or other government agencies can also make use of the software and database to evaluate the performance of schools. The software is completely free and cost-effective,” SSA district project officer T. Mujeeb Rahman said.
