Andhra Pradesh TD MLC names Owaisi, Kishore in land grab'
The petition was filed by his general power of attorney holder T. Venkata Siva Naidu.
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh TD MLC G. Deepak Reddy, the son-in-law of Anantapur MP, J.C. Diwakar Reddy, has moved the Telangana High Court seeking a direction to the state government to take action against the construction work taking place on six acres of land in Survey No. 294 at Gudimalkapur area in the city, which he claims to own.
He alleged that MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, GHMC commissioner Dana Kishore and two others, who were named as benamis of Mr Owaisi, had occupied the land illegally and were constructing a huge complex without obtaining permission from the corporation.
The petition was filed by his general power of attorney holder T. Venkata Siva Naidu.
Mr Deepak Reddy submitted that during the pendency of the case before the city civil court, some private persons under a business partnership with Mr Kishore had started constructing two huge convention centres in the area without any permission neither from the revenue authorities nor from the GHMC.
The commissioner had used his influence for allowing the said construction and there had been no response from the concerned departments to the representations made by him on the issue, he alleged. He requested the court to issue orders for halting the construction and for demolition of the illegal and unauthorised construction that had been done.
He urged the court to direct the Union and state governments to take necessary disciplinary action against Mr Kishore.
