Kodiyeri Balakrishnan rebukes NSS
CPM state secy, NSS gen secy lock horns yet again.
ALAPPUZHA: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Saturday criticised Nair Service Society for what he described as its anti-LDF stand.
Addressing a press meet here as part of his ongoing Kerala Samrakshana Yathra, he went on to say that CPM was not keen to placate NSS for the upcoming general elections.
"CPM doesn't have a reason to follow feudalists. Let (NSS general secretary) Sukumaran Nair keep his feudalistic attitude at hand. The party is going to get into no trouble due to the NSS stance," he said.
"Affairs in Kerala revolve not around preaches of any religious leader. Religious and communal leaders were on the side of the LDF, and the upcoming election will be a repeat of 2004." CPM state secretary said.
He said "murder for murder" is not his party's policy. However, the media hounds the party in the Periya incident.
"They think they could break the heart of CPM. Some media act as allies of UDF. Congress has taken a stand that weakens the investigation into the incident," he said.
