Hyderabad: Czech Colony, falling under Sanathnagar Assembly constituency, used 10,000 litres of groundwater for its Holi bash on Wednesday. Ironically, Telangana minister T. Srinivas Yadav was the chief guest for the party. No water was used while he was there.
Czech Colony resident Suresh Goud, organiser of the event, said, “No Water Board tanker was sought. Water from the apartment borewell was used. Over 800 people attended the Holi celebrations this year.” The minister rubbished reports that he had ordered 15 tankers for the celebrations. He said, “I have not made a single call to any government officer or booked a single tanker in my name.”
