Hyderabad: Website continues to haunt students
And the Helpline hinders rather than helps, taking the basic information and then disconnecting without confirming the status of the application.
Hyderabad: As the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) website continued to give trouble to those applying for re-evaluation, students approached the Board office to resolve the issue and allow them to give their applications in person on Tuesday.
Following the protests on Monday, police were deployed in large numbers today to handle the situation near Vidhya Bhavan.
Students are not able to determine the status of their applications online. And the Helpline hinders rather than helps, taking the basic information and then disconnecting without confirming the status of the application.
Students are hoping to get the results of their re-verification requests before the last date for applying for the supplementary examination, but they are likely to be disappointed as the verification will take another ten days and the last date for applying for the supplementary is April 27. Education minister G. Jagadish Reddy has announced that strict action will be taken against those responsible for the big mess, based on the committee report that may be released on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.
“The technical committee that we have formed is working rapidly, students and parents need not worry, there are many rumours being spread on the inter results, which need to be contained and we will take action on people who are creating these rumours as well,” the minister added.
As a preventive measure, 69 people from student organisations and members of political parties were arrested by the Begum Bazar police merely for protesting against the Board botching up the process.
