Karnataka: Girls bag top three ranks in VTU

The Governor will present gold medals at the 15th annual convocation of VTU in Belagavi on May 27.

Belagavi: Girls have bagged the top three gold medals presented by the Visvesvaraya Technical University for engineering toppers for 2014-15. Gayatri M. Prabhu from GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology Mysuru has bagged nine gold medals for securing the first rank, highest marks in BE Electrical and Electronics Engineering and highest marks in any branch in the state.

Niveditha M. from Global Academy of Technology, Bengaluru has bagged seven gold medals for securing the first rank and highest marks in BE Civil Engineering. Deepthi Devaraj from BNM Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, will collect six gold medals for securing first rank and highest marks in BE Computer Science Engineering.

Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. V Sridhar announced the list of graduation and post-graduation gold medalists in Belagavi on Monday.  The Governor will present gold medals at the 15th annual convocation of VTU in Belagavi on May 27. 

Rajanish Bhusal from Reva Institute of Technology and Management, Bengaluru will get five gold medals for securing first rank and highest marks in BE Mechanical Engineering, Ullas Bharadwaj from RNS Institute of Technology Bengaluru has bagged five gold medals for securing first rank and highest marks in aggregate in first attempt of last four semesters in BE Electronics and Communications Engineering.

Tribikram Rajaure from Brindavan College of Engineering Bengaluru has secured four gold medals for getting the highest marks, highest aggregate marks in all eight semesters in BE Civil Engineering.

Aarti Jha from JSS Academy of Technical Education Bengaluru has been awarded four gold medals for securing first rank and highest marks in aggregate in first attempt of last four semesters in Instrumentation Technology.
