Warangal: Home minister assures quick trials
Kaushal met the parents of the baby at their residence and consoled them.
Warangal: TV actor Kaushal Manda came to console the family members of the nine-month-old baby that was raped and murdered. He, along with several youth sat on an indefinite hunger strike near the Hanamkonda bus station on Sunday.
The police did not permit the protest and asked them to leave. When the youth refused, they were forcefully dragged away and arrested. Following this, the hunger strike was called off.
Later, Kaushal met the parents of the baby at their residence and consoled them. He said he would support the family in every possible way.
Kaushal said he was in Warangal as a parent who understood the pain of another parent. “We will continue the protest in various forms until justice is meted. Government must take steps to see that the accused Kolipaka Praveen is punished at the earliest,” he said.
Warangal West MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar visited the family. He called home minister Md Mahmood Ali on the phone, who spoke to the baby’s parents and assured them of a speedy trial and stringent punishment to the accused.
