AP officials told to reverify deleted voters

KAKINADA: West Godavari district collector instructed the officials to reverify the deleted voters in the voter list saying there was a need for a transparent examination of the deletion of votes.

She reviewed the reverification process at Bhimavaram on Thursday. She said that every vote which was deleted from January 6, 2022 to till date should be made field-level verification and after re-verification of the votes by BLOs, the special officers should make inspections of the voter lists, confirmation and the process should be completed by August 30.

She said that there was a need for a massive campaign to be done among the people on the voter list. She urged officials to submit the evidence why some names have been deleted. The district revenue officer K. Krishna Veni, votes reverification officers Asha Kiran (district forest officer) and Vuyyala Adiseshu (district industries officer) and Jashuva (district survey officer) were present.
