Guntur: The railway track restoration works at Dhulipalla are on full swing and the railway department is expecting restoration of train services after three days.
Nearly one kilometer length of railway track was washed away on Thursday due to flash floods at Dhulipalla, five kilometers from Sattenapalli.
Besides this, floodwater overflowed on the railway track at 15 places overflowed between Reddigudem-Sattenapalli and Bellamkonda-Reddi-gudem-Piduguralla in five places which forced the cancelation of train services between Hydera-bad/Secundrabad-Guntur section.
The railway officials on Friday rushed to Dhulipalla and started the retoration of the railway track. The locals of adjacent villages joined as daily workers for the restoration work. As many as 40 earthmovers and other equipment was pressed into the action. However, three earthmovers were stuck in the mud during the work.
