Video contest over Mission Bhagiratha

Hyderabad: To disprove the claim of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao that Mission Bhagiratha works have been completed in a whopping 22,000 villages, Pungi Bajao (souding of trumpet), a video footage competition invites youths to construction sites in Telangana State where Mission Bhagiratha work is underway.
Armed with mobile phones, the contesting youth will be able to visit the work sites in the interiors of Telangana to take snap shots of the work till October 20 to win seven prizes, mostly gold ornaments.
The competition is part of the social audit and monitors works in progress and compares it with the claims of the government, says BJP leader Dharmapuri Aravind.
The Chief Minister said in a public meeting at Pragathi Nivedana Sabha on September 2, that Mission Bhagiratha work was completed in 22,000 villages and work in the remaining 1300 villages will be completed in a week’s time. He said his data was based on the report given by the Engineer-in-Chief.
