Bengaluru: In a new twist to the ongoing #MeToo storm, which has hit Sandalwood, actress Harshika Poonacha on Tuesday termed #MeToo as a clear #MeTooForPublicity movement.

Saying that nobody should disrespect women, objectify them or force them to do anything against their will, she said in her Facebook account that she is disgusted to see how a few actresses are using their femininity as a tool for pure publicity.

Harshika, who has come out in support of actor Arjun Sarja, accused of sexual harassment, said, “Most of these so-called activist-actresses do everything when they badly need what they want in the initial stages of their careers (get cast in good films, make money, network, travel, luxurious life and so on) by giving all the freedom to these men who they now accuse for their own selfish needs of publicity. They start targeting the same men who they were seen smiling and walking hand in hand with!”

She questioned the actresses whether they have the guts to name ‘A list’ superstars in each film industry and also asks why superstar actresses of every industry are not making any allegations.

She revealed that a top producer, who is close to her, showed her a video in which a few of these so-called #MeToo victim actresses are seen happily smoking marijuana lying on a famous person's shoulder and saying how they can spoil the names of a few people. “In another video, there is this famous actor who himself has shot a video of this famous actress half-nude in the car, where she is seen happily telling him that she should be there in his next film too,” she stated.

She requested actresses to be real and said that the time has come for men to start #wetoo movement.
