Coimbatore:The Tamil Nadu Trader’s Union joint forum of Coimbatore chapter here, went on a hunger strike on Tuesday condemning the state and central governments alleging that both were ignoring traders’ concerns.

Prime bazaar areas here were deserted on Tuesday, as about 3,000 shops and commercial outlets remained closed at Rangae Gowder Street, Selvapuram and Big Bazaar Street, extending their support to the strike called by the Tamil Nadu trader’s Union joint forum.
