Hyderabad: New panel looks into 21 demands

Hyderabad: The RTC Executive Directors Committee, constituted by the state government to examine the demands of the striking workers, met on Wednesday and decided to submit its report to the state government on Thursday.

The Committee met at Bus Bhavan and examined the 21 demands of the agitating employees, which the High Court had said would not cause much financial burden on the state government and the RTC.

Sources said the demands included appointment of executive directors for Karimnagar and Hyderabad zones, modernisation of RTC hospitals in Tarnaka and other regions and payment of pending bills to the hospitals.

The panel also discussed payment of bills to referral hospitals, provision of spare parts and other materials directly to depots and provision to withdraw PF for medical emergencies, besides issuing of white ration card and Arogyasree card for employees and Asara pension for retired employees.
