Kerala CM to open Cancer Centre
The centre aims to boost to cancer care facilities in north Kerala.
Kozhikode: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the tertiary cancer care centre at Kozhikode Government Medical College on Saturday.
The centre aims to boost to cancer care facilities in north Kerala. Health minister K.K. Shylaja teacher will preside over the function. M.K. Raghav-an, MP, will also be present for the fucntion.
The facility here is all set to provide the people of Malabar with full spectrum of oncology services. Peop-le in Malabar who were so far depending on the Regi-onal cancer center, Thiruv-ananthapuram for affordable treatment, can avail the service of the new center at MCH
A total Rs 44.5 crore has been spent for the completion of the tertiary cancer center and an additional Rs 10 crore has been spent for the construction of lecture centre, said MCH principal Dr V.R. Rajendran.
Mr Rajendran will be presenting a report regarding the construction of the centre and the facility to be provided here during the ceremony.
