Udupi: Teacher beats boy for not having meals

Udupi: A first standard boy was allegedly thrashed by a teacher for not consuming mid-day meals on Saturday.

According to sources the incident is said to have taken place in a school located in Karkala rural police station limits. 

The boy was unwell and reluctant to consume the mid-day meal. However, the teacher got angry and forced the boy to eat and hit him. Though the boy vomited earlier in the day, the teacher forced him to have lunch.
