Hyderabad station wins certificate for maintenance

Hyderabad and Secunderabad divisions are ahead in the race too.

Hyderabad: In a major achievement, Indian Railways has managed to secure 30 per cent of energy conservation awards, 2018, which includes 17 awards, making it highest number of awards bagged by any single organisation. Hyderabad and Secunderabad divisions are ahead in the race too.

Minister of railways and coal, Piyush Goyal, congratulated the officials for this singular achievement and called upon to continue striving for more energy efficiency and conservation measures in Railways.

Indian Railways participated in three major categories transport, buildings and institutions out of the five in which awards are given covering different subsectors.

Under the transport category, it got 10 awards while under the building group it got three while under the institution category it bagged four.

Out of the 10 awards in the transport category, many of the railway stations were in the race for the honour, out of which, Vidisha railway station in Madhya Pradesh won the first prize.
