Hyderabad: Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy extended their greetings to the Christian fraternity for Christmas.

In her statement on Sunday, Dr Soundarajan said: “Christmas is a joyous occasion to celebrate the birth of Jesus and cherish his ideals. His life symbolises love, forgiveness, truth, compassion, brotherhood, and sacrifice.”

Wishing boundless joy, love, peace, and prosperity to all, she said: “In the true spirit of Christmas, let us resolve to make this world more prosperous, healthy, peaceful, and compassionate.”

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in his greetings said that the teachings of Lord Jesus — peace, love, brotherhood, and tolerance — should be followed forever and by everyone.

Revanth Reddy said that a secular government had been formed in the state while maintaining religious harmony, transparency, administration, and democratic values. He invited the Christian community to take part in the development of society.
