Jawan killed in ULF ambush in Arunachal Pradesh

Guwahati: A jawan was killed in an encounter with militants from the United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) and Coordination Committee of Manipur in the Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh, on Wednesday.

The encounter took place after an IED blast by the Ulfa(I) militants on an Army convoy near Piyong area. After the blast, the 11 Granadiers Regiment was fired upon by the militants, who were hiding nearby. A jawan was injured who died on his way to a hospital.
