Thiruvananthapuram: Call to set up auto counter, taxi stand
K. J. Paul Manvattom said the authorities should immediately take steps to address the issues at the Kochuveli Railway Station
Thiruvananthapuram: Demand for the development of Kochuveli railway station is mounting with more trains shifting base to there. All-Kerala Railway Users’ Association state president K. J. Paul Manvattom said the authorities should immediately take steps to address the issues at the Kochuveli Railway Station.
“Getting transportation is the main issue and immediate step should be taken to set up pre-paid auto counter and taxi stand. KSRTC should conduct sufficient number of services during peak hours,” said Mr Manvattom. He said the authorities should also seriously think about de-congesting Trivandrum Central Railway Station by utilising Nemom and Kochuveli stations.
“Nemom Station should be utilised by trains coming from Southern Part and Kochuveli station by trains coming from Northern part of the state,” Mr Manvattom added.
