KTR opens yet another urban forest park
The 454-acre urban forest park has been beautifully landscaped at an estimated cost of Rs 11.37 crore
Hyderabad: Municipal administration and urban development minister K.T. Rama Rao, accompanied by minister for forests and environment A. Indrakaran Reddy and labour minister Ch. Malla Reddy, inaugurated another urban forest park at Quthbullapur in Gajularamaram zone on Tuesday.
The 454-acre urban forest park has been beautifully landscaped at an estimated cost of Rs 11.37 crore. The urban park has large trees making lush greenery and facilities for doing yoga, walking and cycling tracks, gazebo and special play area for toddlers. It also provides natural rock setting and open classrooms to entertain visitors and highlight the importance of forests on ecological conservation.
“It is the vision of our Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to create a lung space in the city and reserve forest area that provides a visually soothing ambience in close proximity with nature,” said the minister.
Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, MLC Shambipur Raju, MLA Vivekananda Goud, special principal secretary, forest department A. Shanthi Kumari, principal chief conservator of forests R. Shobha and special principal secretary, urban development department Arvind Kumar and other officials took part in the event.
