AIADMK advocates celebrate TN CM's birthday near Madras HC premises

Chennai: The AIADMK advocates on Wednesday celebrated the 68th birthday of their party leader and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa by cutting 68 kg of cake near the Madras high court premises.

The AIADMK advocates wing led by its president V.S. Sethuraman also distributed sarees to 500 women and provided food to 1,000 persons at a function organised by S. Diwakar and C. Thirumaran, Joint secretary and vice president respectively of the AIADMK advocates wing of South Chennai.

The function was held outside the north gate entrance of the Madras high court, in which advocates M Gopinathan, M Perumal, Anbukkarasu and T Nixon participated. Earlier in the morning, they also performed a special pooja at the Iyarkai Vinayakar temple situated in Omandurar Government Estate.
