Amberpet nala water for sale

Sewerage Board has decided to sell treated water from Amberpet STP.

The HMDA is earing about Rs 4 lakh a month from the sale of treated water at the Hussainsagar.

Hyderabad: After treated sewerage water from the Hussainsagar, the Sewerage Board has decided to sell treated water from Amberpet STP.

This is the biggest plant of the board which treats 339 million litres of sewage a day. Currently the  cleaned water is being let into the Musi. The HMDA is earing about Rs 4 lakh a month from the sale of treated water at the Hussainsagar.

Eight million gallons is sold at the four filling stations at Sanjeevaiah Park to South Central Railways and private construction companies. Water and Sewerage Board chief Dr B. Janardhan Reddy directed officials to identify  companies that can utilise the treated water.

The Water Board is  planning to construct  a sewerage treatment plant at the Marri Channa Reddy Hu-man Resource Development Institute in Jubilee Hills in the city
