Pending files shock Chandrababu Naidu
He was shocked to know that more than four lakh files are pending at various offices.
Hyderabad: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is keen on quick disposal of files, was shocked to know more than four lakh files are pending at various offices in the districts. Among these, over two lakh files are pending in revenue and district collector’s offices.
During the two-day collector’s conference held at Vijayawada, AP CCLA A.C. Puneetha gave a presentation on file pendency status in district revenue offices and district collector’s offices. As per the CCLA’s presentation, 2,69,524 files are pending in all revenue offices in the districts. Similarly, 1,38,895 files are pending in district collector’s offices. In the revenue offices 1,22,474 files and in district collectorates, 88,853 files are pending for more than one year. At 12,130, the most number of files pending for over a year are at the Nellore collector’s office. The lowest number of files is 425, at the W. Godavari collector’s office.
