Bengaluru: With an intention to carry ammunition, food and other necessities of the armed forces, Bengaluru-based firm Poeir Jets have developed a drone which can carry a load upto 75 kg. Further they have developed a drone which can be used to fight fires on high rise buildings.
Sharing details about the drone, Mr Devathathan of Poeir Jets said, “Unmanned Aero Vehicles are going to be the future. At places like Siachen Glacier and other inaccessible terrain where it’s difficult to supply ammunition and food, our hybrid drone DJE 30 can be of great help.”
The drone which runs on aero turbine fuel can lift nearly 75 kg and run for two hours non-stop. They will be available in the market in the next two years, he said.
He introduced the Urban Hoppers which can help fight fire on high rises. “Traffic is a major issue in cities. During emergencies, even before fire tenders can reach the spot, most of the damage would have already been done. But these drones which can lift up 200 litres in one go, can reach fire accident spot immediately and help douse the blaze.”
