Assembly polls: DMK President Karunanidhi files nomination

He has won in all the assembly elections he has so far contested since his debut at Kulithalai in 1957.

Tiruvarur: DMK chief M Karunanidhi on Monday filed his nomination from the Tiruvarur constituency for the May 16 Assembly polls. He filed his nomination papers with the Tiruvarur constituency Returning Officer Muthu Meenakshi.

The 93-year-old former five time Chief Minister is seeking re-election from Tiruvarur.

He has won in all the assembly elections he has so far contested since his debut at Kulithalai in 1957.

Earlier, he paid floral tributes at the memorial of his mother Anjugathammal in Kattur near here. He is scheduled to address an election rally here this evening.
