Vijayawada: The TD may be in a happy mood thanks to induction of YSRC legislators but it will face new challenges from the proposed Cabinet reshuffle. According to party sources, several TD legislators are waiting for Cabinet berths in the reshuffle. Newly joined YSRC legislators have been assured ministerial posts. TD seniors may face competition from newly joined YSRC legislators.

Several senior TD legislators like Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, Goutu Shyamsundar Sivaji, Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary, Kagita Venkata Rao, Dhulipalla Narendra, MLCs Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Satish Reddy have hopes of getting  Cabinet berths during the reshuffle. Besides, speculation is rife that YSRC legislators Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao, Jyothula Nehru, Jaleel Khan and Bhuma Nagi Reddy have chance to get Cabinet posts in next Cabinet reshuffle.

Already, senior TD legislators are in queue. They could not get Cabinet posts last time for various reasons despite having been elected four to five terms from their respective constituencies. But now they will face competition from newly joined YSRC legislators. Interestingly, some Cabinet ministers are facing apprehensions about speculations on Cabinet reshuffle and assurances for YSRC legislators regarding minister posts.

As per reports, Sujaya Krishna Rangana Rao's entry in Vizianagaram, Jyothula Nehru joining in East Godavari district and Bhuma Nagi Reddy switching of loyalties to the TD blocked the domination of some leaders and ministers in the same district. Likewise, if Jaleel Khan gets prominence in government, senior legislators of TD who were in the party for the past three decades may lose chance to be in the Cabinet, a senior TD leader said.

The followers of former minister Ramasubba Reddy and MLA C. Adinarayana Reddy in Kadapa district and Bhuma Nagi Reddy  and Silpa Mohan Reddy groups clashed with each other in attempts to dominate politics. Similar situation prevails in Vizianagaram district and minister Mrunalini and several legislators are unhappy after Bobbili Kings family entry into the TD.

Former chief whip Kagita Venkata Rao, was hospitalised with high blood pressure when he did not get Cabinet minister post even as he was the senior most legislator in Krishna district politics. Likewise, Ponnuru MLA Dhulipalla Narendra has been elected continuously for five times but hasn't got a Cabinet berth so far. Meanwhile, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy has got MLC post even after he was defeated in the last Assembly elections. His supporters felt he deserves Cabinet post.

On the other hand, K.E. Krishna Murthy is ready to follow CM's political plans but his family members are not happy with Bhuma Nagi Reddy's entry and Cabinet minister proposal. TD official spokesperson G. Ramakrishna said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu can solve all the issues and hoped that all leaders would follow his decisions for the interests of the party.
