Hyderabad HC notice to Telangana government over land acquisition
The Bench on Tuesday adjourned the case for a week.
Hyderabad: Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday directed the Telangana Government to explain the reasons for constructing a Collectorate Complex in Suryapet district by acquiring private lands between Kudakuda and Bebigudem villages, near Suryapet town.
A Division Bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice K. Vijaya Lakshmi was dealing with a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by one Chakilam Rajeswara Rao seeking to declare the action of the government in constructing the Collectorate by acquiring the private land, despite the availability of government land in Suryapet town, as illegal.
Earlier, the Bench had directed the State Government to place the note file and other related correspondence related to acquiring the private land for construction of the Collectorate Complex.
The Bench on Tuesday adjourned the case for a week.
