ABVP take to the streets, hold dharna at Etela Rajendar’s office
They staged a dharna in front of the camp office of the health minister Etela Rajendar in Karimnagar on Wednesday.
Karimnagar: Representatives of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) have alleged that the government is not taking any action against those responsible for discrepancies that occurred in the Intermediate exam results.
They staged a dharna in front of the camp office of the health minister Etela Rajendar in Karimnagar on Wednesday.
State ABVP secretary Rentam Jagadish alleged that from the day Intermediate results are announced, daily one or two Intermediate students are committing suicide due to the mistakes that occurred in Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE).
Apart from that, thousands of students are facing hardships due to the mistakes in the mark sheets issued to them.
However, the government is least bothered and is not taking any steps against those who are responsible to settle the issue, he alleged.
Mr Jagadish demanded the government order a judicial probe into the discrepancies and take stringent actions against the officials responsible for the errors along with suspending the TSBIE secretary A. Ashok Kumar immediately.
When the police intervened, heated arguments took place between the ABVP leaders and police officials.
Later, the police officials interrupted the dharna and arrested the ABVP leaders and sent them to the police station.
