4-months after report, govt still silent on losing patrolling points to China: Asad
Hyderabad: Holding Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor (NSA), Ajit Doval responsible for loss of 26 of the 65 patrolling points in Ladakh to China, AIMIM chief, Asaduddin Owaisi asked as to why they remained silent over the issue of serious national concern, despite acknowledgment by local authorities about 4-months back.
While sharing the photograph from 2014 of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping sitting on a traditional swing in Ahmedabad during latter’s visit, on twitter, Asaduddin pointed out that nothing has changed since Leh SP, PD Nitya presented paper on how India lost access 26 of the 65 patrolling points in January. “Will any of these three (Modi, Shah and NSA) take any responsibility for this loss of control over territory ? We know that PM Modi’s favourite line is ‘tum ab chup raho’. How long will his chuppi continue for China ? Will PM Modi again host his friend Xi Jinping on a swing while our soldiers brave it out in the high mountains?,” he asked.
He said that there were so many questions about the situation on the China border. “We have no answers because the Parliament is not allowed to debate the matter, the press is not taken to the border like it was during Kargil and there is no briefing by the Govt. What is there to hide, PM Modi?,” he added in a series of tweets.
Earlier on Monday night addressing an Eid Milap programme, Asad while urging the party’s rank and file to strengthen the party emphasised that the AIMIM was pitted against the communal forces like never before. “They will have stomach ache if they do not utter Maljis’s or Owaisi’s name and cry foul blaming Owaisi for their failures. This is the high time we strengthen the rank and file of Majlis and put up a brave fight against the forces which are determined to sabotage the peace,” he said, while referring to the recent visit of Amit Shah.
The Hyderabad MP reiterated that the BJP government at Center which has already scrapped the provision of different scholarships for Muslims and other weaker sections was determined to deny a chance for poor Muslims to get education under 4% reservation. “This was the only platform through which Pasmanda Muslims in Telangana were getting a chance for education. BJP wants to deny this chance too,” he added, while referring to claims of BJP's outreach to Pasmanda Muslims.
