Only one week time to apply for TS Eamcet without penalty
Exam to be held in forenoon timings on July 9
Hyderabad: The Telangana Eamcet for filling MBBS and BDS seats in various colleges in ten districts will be held on July 9.
With central government promulgating an ordinance to exempt few states from uniform national test-NEET for this year, Telangana is conducting its own entrance test for filling seats in government colleges and convenor quota in private medical colleges.
Online registrations will commence from June 1 till June 7, without fine. However, with a late fee ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 10,000, authorities can still apply for the exam till July 7.The registration fee for the test is Rs.250 for SCs and STs and Rs 500 for others.
Hall tickets could be downloaded from July 2 onwards. Unlike the usual practice of holding the medical entrance test in the afternoon, this time exam will be held from 10am to 1pm.
Results will be announced on July 14. It may be mentioned here that this is the second Eamcet being conduced this year. The first Eamcet was held on May 15 exempting MBBS and BDS seats in view of SC judment on NEET.
Health Minister C Laxma Reddy held a review meeting with higher officials in this regard after which the fresh exam date was announced. Meanwhile, TS Eamcet (engineering and agriculture streams) results will be declared by Deputy CM and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari on Thursday.
