Pondicherry Congress to support bandh call
The anti-people' government at Centre and Tamil Nadu will be thrown out as the people join together to protest.
Puducherry: Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) extended all support to the bandh call given by DMK and other political parties on Friday condemning police action against protesters in Thoothukudi, in which 11 people lost their lives.
PCC president and PWD minister A Namasivayam, who strongly condemned the police action against the agitators at Thoothukudi requested all sections of society to support the Bandh.”The police action against the protestors was 'barbaric' in nature and cannot be accepted at any level. The bandh call was given to condemn the police action and to demand the closure of the Sterlite copper smelter plant in Thoothukudi district,” he said.

An all-party meeting headed by the convenor of DMK south unit R. Siva MLA adopted a resolution demanding the resignation of the ruling AIADMK government for allegedly owing ‘moral responsibility’ for the police firing.
