Hyderabad: After Deccan Chronicle reported about the 950 Banyan trees being uprooted for road expansion in the Chevella route, an organisation called Phoenix group under Phoenix Foundation has contacted Vata foundation to fully support the translocation process. A meeting has been fixed in the first week of June to decide on the alignment of the work.
The organisation is also going to make an official announcement very soon.
They are also planning to translocate the trees before the monsoon starts, so that the translocated trees would survive in the monsoon rains, said Uday Krishna from Vata Foundation, who would be executing the entire work of translocation.
