Supporters of both groups reached the spot and attacked each other with clubs.
Guntur: Ten persons were injured in a clash between Telugu Desam and YSRC groups in the faction-ridden village Tangeda of Dachepalli of Guntur district’s Palnadu region on Sunday.
Dachepalli sub-inspector A. Venkateswarlu said TD activists Chinakothapalli Deena Raju and Daida Kiran Babu were discussing village politics in their farm where YSRC activists Kotapalli Bhushan and Daida Nagaraju joined them.
Their conversation soon turned into an altercation. Supporters of both groups reached the spot and attacked each other with clubs.
The police shifted the injured to the local area government hospital. The locals told the police that there was a dispute over the water pit of the village between the TD and YSRC groups and this was also a reason for the clash.
The police stated that the situation is under control and increased surveillance in the village.
