Medak police Opened fire in self-defence'
Medak SP S. Chandra Shekar Reddy said that the situation was under control, but surveillance is still on in both the villages.

Hyderabad: Medak police said that they opened fire in the air in self-defence when the villagers pelted stones at them and tried to attack them with sticks.
Police also said that they did not use any kind of force on women and children and they could have suffered injuries while escaping through fields when police started dispersing the crowds.
Medak SP S. Chandra Shekar Reddy said that the situation was under control, but surveillance is still on in both the villages.
He said that two sub-inspectors, three constables and one woman constable were injured in the incident and the Siddipet inspector fire two rounds in the air when the situation went out of control.
