Telangana government steps in to care for girl child

The commissioning parents are not known and the surrogate mother is not in a position to take care of the child.

Hyderabad: Officials at the commissionerate of health and family welfare have stated that the state government would take care of the girl child who is undergoing treatment at Niloufer Hospital. The baby’s mother had claimed that she was a surrogate. The commissioning parents are not known and the surrogate mother is not in a position to take care of the child. The have to now find out at which centre the actual embryo transplant took place. A senior officer said, “The baby will not be given to the surrogate mother. Till the investigations are complete, state authorities will take care of the child.”
